Color: deep garnet with purple reflections. Nose: classic Cabernet markers of blackberry, menthol and a slightly smoky character. Palate: generous attack, with menthol notes followed by fruit (black fruit) and oak. The tannins are present but integrate easily. Pairing: red meat cooked over an open fire, confit shallots and pressed potatoes. Comment: a wonderful surprise for this generous and smooth Cabernet. A beautiful promise. Cellaring 5 years.
