Visual aspect: an averagely deep garnet-red colour. Nose: powerful scents of scrubland, black fruit, cherries preserved in eau-de-vie, aniseed, fur, leather and Pekoe orange-flavoured tea. Palate: very warm on the first taste, marked by plentiful alcohol. It develops with intensity, giving a sweet sensation on rich body. Powerful tannins, with a long, impressive finish. Match with food: knuckle of pork cooked Shanghai style. Comments: a warm wine with superb minerality and delicacy of expression.
